replica: most reliable??

Thanks again for the ongoing dialogue. I am curious what NASA racer Pete means when he says:
"My worries are the prices going UP when the Ford GT comes out and more interest is sparked in the car. I always had an interest and considered the Ford GT but upon sitting in a real one knew I wanted something more like that."
Do you mean that you are more inclined to a Ford car now as opposed to a replica? Or vice versa. Just didn't understand and wondered what made the difference.

For my own $0.02, FYI I can report that CAVs apparently will come with 2 options on the nose panel: a square opening ("akin to a hot tub") or the split "nostril" effect. The part is evidently interchangeable. Also, a very knowledgeable fellow named Joe who runs JC Performance in Central CA is finishing some CAVs with motors and top end stuff. About $10K for a basic 302 w/o injection. More when I know it.

Basically I mean "...well if Ford can get $150k...we can"

Hopefully not but I wonder if the niche will become a market when the affluent young guys playing video games with GT40s in them and reading about the Ford GT find out they can get a finished one for about the same cost as a Porsche 996.
