Your fiberglass A-pillar will be as much help to you as it was to me when this M38A-1 Jeep rolled over on top of me and its driver, Joe Pinto. The support for its canvas top collapsed and the Jeep was supported at the rear by a large military radio and spare tire. We were underneath it. Not fun.

Joe, go back to the beginning and rear my earlier posts. There have been several severe injuries where the steelwork stayed undamaged, but the egg inside got smashed , some fatal.

High speed impacts are severe for a variety of reasons, each crash is unique. My friend, Robert Freyvogel was injured badly in a 432 mph crash a couple of years ago. His streamliner crashed but stayed together structurally. His injuries were from the G forces he was subjected to during the multiple impacts as it rolled & tumbled to a final stop. His injuries were critical but fortunately not fatal. Google "Carbaliner".

Not for me. On the track with my black car, it's a full padded roll cage and a 7-point racing harness & helmet/HANS. My street Mirage has only a rear well-braced roll bar and a 4-point harness. I'll replace it with a 5-point harness soon but since it is the original Manta Cars prototype #2 that was on their showroom floor, I want to keep it as original as possible.

DAMN!!! That's a great video to show that you NEED an HANS! Oh, and I wear one in all race cars I drive! Yikes!
