One of the best cars i ever owned but a sad story of a young man fresh out of university with money from his first real job burning a hole in his pocket. Saw the car on a dealers forecourt, arranged the loan all on his own, bought the 'Beast'.
A red B-plate UR Quattro, went like stink (compared to the Uno 950cc), like driving on rails. Digital Dash and voice warning system.
Then it started to happen, battery kept going flat, the voice became a crackle (so is the washer bottle empty or is the engine overheating??? you didn't know), the engine started to PINK, so tried to get it tuned, it was then that we found the engine number was welded over!!!!
I owned her for 4 weeks, drove her for about 7 days and then got my money back from the dealer.
very sad and still maybe wish i had stuck with it, oh well.
