AWSOME launch of STS-131 this morning. Perfect weather conditions made for an on-time launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery. Too beautiful to describe, I watched from my front yard as the vehicle was launched from the Cape.
Jack - we were all glued to the television along with NASA TV on everybody's the lap tops.
Just such a brilliant moment in history.
I bet Paul B will have some fantastic memories of the event.
I still hope to be there for the last one.

Hi David,
Truly spectacular, a wonder of modern technology. Only downside is that it is over too soon. Had to be up all night and only just surfaced but worth every second. We had a fantastic view from the east Causeway, saw the pad- everything. Really a sight you must see. If you are at Silvermere next week David , I can give you some ideas for September. Otherwise I can e-mail you.
Hi Jack,
Certainly was spectacular. An added bonus was that at 6.06, just before launch, the ISS went over the Cape and went straight across the centre or the moon.............priceless
