Suspension

You cant just copy the wishbone and reactionrod length. It needs to correspond to the rest of your suspension setup.

If you are starting from scratch and dont have any parts yet i would consider to base the design around corvette components.
The parts are available and relatively cheap, cad data inc all pickup points is available for free on grabcad.
 
Hello, could you provide me with as many specifications as possible regarding suspension arm ball joints? Specifically the thickness, diameter, etc., so that I can achieve a high-quality assembly. Thank you.

What size bolt are you planning on using?
What threads are you planning on using for the radius/link arms inserts?
That will give you the answer you need when choosing rodends.
 
Hello, could someone provide the dimensions shown in red and green? These are the center-to-center distances between the rod ends of the upper and lower rear suspension control arms.

I remade my suspension parts to utilize all rodends a couple of years ago on my GTD.

On the rear I used 3/8 rodends on the outer lower A-arm, both ends of the top trailing arm links, and the transverce upper link. At the inboard single (per side) of the reverce A-arm I used 5/8 because I had them already otherwise I would have used 1/2. Also please use grade 8 hardware. On the chassis mount points as well if any.

On the front I used all 3/8 top and bottom. These are two piece Chromoly RE's Please..... no three piece, low cost steel Home Depot, Aluimium, No-name etc. These parts are single point of failure parts. I call them ITellkillya parts. Buy good stuff.

This was not a cheap investment.........

Note the manufacture, Aurora Bearing Company. These are not cheap Chinese pieces. Also note the load rating of the 3/8 high strenght series. nearly 10,000 lbs. IMHO this is the minium strenght quality rod end I would install as a suspension part. The other series is the performance racing series. They are generally the same strenght than the less expensive HS series but are very low friction. If I was building a open wheel car race car I might use them but not on a street /dual use car. A full car set of either is a lot of money.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

This is GT Forte uprights using audi wheel bearing carrier, which will give you the hole locations. The carrier bolts are torx and fitted from the inside so you have to recess the boltholes before welding. Also the holes for the brake caliper will be the same as for a Granada most likely

I have a pair of those Uprights that are in kit form. All the parts are there laser cut you just need to weld them up. It is a kit from GT Forte also comes with instructions on how to put them together. If your interested message me.
