While I wouldn't venture to comment who is at fault, I would say the car did a superb job of protecting the occupants if in fact it went through a guard rail at a speed approaching 140 MPH (of course we don't know how much speed was scubbed off before leaving the road), and subsequently landed 500 ft away on the roof in a forest. The passenger compartment looks remarkably intact.

in the website he mention he found sometime later a part of a brake near the crash point.
It is maybe possible one rear brake damaged will hit the wheel and cause an imporvvise brake (and break ) of the rear wheels?.
I think so cause the car this guy bought doesnt had original wheels, but nicer bigger ones.

just guess....
