The better car

This is such a subjective topic, it really depends on your circumstances. It's like asking what are the best shoes to buy, or most comfortable underwear..... Everyone has their reasons for choosing the manufacturer that they chose. Some people go for price alone, others look at quality only with no $ limit. My own choice was a combination of things including after sales service. RF has shown a remarkable willingness to service it's customers wherever they are in the world, and if I lived anywhere else in the world other than 45 minutes away from their factory, I would still consider them for their level of customer service alone. That choice was just made easier for me due to their proximity to me (amongst other things).
I think most people have had bad experiences with various aspects of the kit car industry and that makes you think twice about who you want to deal with. This board has been quick to kick the crap out of anyone not acting in the best interests of its members (see black list) and likewise it has also praised the good work of companies that make an effort.
Search through the many posts and you will get an idea of who is worthy and who is not, it is a great way to start forming your own opinion as to which car best for you.

What is the better car ERA or Roaring40's. Just bottom line what do you people think and why? Oh yeah and also the cav.

Bottom line would be ERA. Have you checked out prices? Would you be willing to pay that much more for a replica? For me the answer is no. I have an extremely tough time spending as much I need to spend already.

This question is nearly impossible to answer. Each Person has their preference. ERA is an excellent car. They even offer the Mark II, which is setup for the 427FE motor. However, their cars are not cheap ($54,900 kit) and there is a two-year wait.

CAV is also excellent. I have seen Wayne Presley's CAV car and the workmanship is flawless. You can order just about any color, including the original Gulf colors. Their car only comes as turnkey-minus (you provide the engine). Import regulations prohibit the cars coming in with engines; otherwise they would have to meet EPA regulations.

Roaring Forties is another excellent choice, although I am only going by word of mouth. The kit is offered in various "stages" to help the person who has limited $$$ and can't afford the complete kit all at once.

There are others as well - DRB in Australia, GT40 Replication in New Zealand, and Tornado in the UK.
