Hey guys – I had an idea based on one of Canada’s foremost all-you-can-spend stores – Canadian Tire. (you may have seen the currency we get back on sales on this forum). Anyway, they have a policy for one-off, specialty tools that allows anyone to rent them free of charge as long as they are returned undamaged, or something like that.
So with that said, how many specialty tools does the GT40/Lola/Etc need during the build that will in most cases, never be used again? I was thinking there could be a tooling section for the sale of very good quality used tools of this nature that other builders could purchase so that nobody is stuck with a one-off/another’s that needs to purchase brand new?
Let me know your thoughts, a tooling list could be generated so that some of you guys can free up some cash and others not have to spend tons. Obviously some tools wouldn’t be worth shipping but others like orbital automotive sanders, engine stands etc may be worth it-
