2013 KCC GT40 MK1
Registered correctly with the DVLA as a ‘KCC GT40’, this replica was imported from South Africa in 2023 by its current owner and proudly wears the legendary 1969 Gulf livery, paying homage to the iconic Le Mans-winning GT40 #1076.
The KCC GT40 is South Africa’s interpretation of the renowned KVA design, developed in the 1980s by Ken Vincent Atwell – an ex-Ford engineer who obtained permission to take moulds directly from an original GT40. KCC (Kit Car Centre) acquired the license to produce these replicas in Johannesburg, staying true to the car's celebrated DNA.

History:
Built and registered in South Africa in January 2013
Imported to the UK in May 2023, UK-registered in July 2023
Only 2 owners since new – the original builder and current UK owner

Wheels & Tyres - 15” Halibrand-style knock-on split rims (wine glass design)
Tyres - Front: 215/60 R15 and Rear: 255/50 R15
Bodywork - KCC MK1 body finished in stunning 1969 Gulf colours and authentic #1075 racing decals

In Summary
KCC #092 is a vintage GT40 replica, combining authentic period styling with practical mechanical choices for reliability and usability on the road. It utilises Ford’s front and rear suspension systems, with coil springs all round with a very smooth ride. A recently completed chassis with full rose joint suspension, aluminium cladding and fibreglass rear clip are included in the price - transfer the car across and have a really good GT40. An ideal project for the replica builder starting out!
Highlights include the revered 302 Windsor V8, matched to a robust Audi 01E 5-speed gearbox, ‘Bundle of Snakes’ exhaust, split-rim Halibrand replicas, and attention to historical detail make this a rare and highly desirable as an entry level car that provides thrilling, reliable performance without compromising daily drivability.
