I am at the very beginning of removing the Renault and replacing it with a Porsche G50 in my GTD. That will mean I will eventually have everything related to installing a R21 in a GTD. Flywheel/clutch to output shafts including, adapter plate complete shifter system. Maybe even the driveshafts, The gearbox works fine and I think I'll make a current incar video before I begin taking it out.

Any idea what this stuff is worth now a days? Located in Texas USA.

Have the same query here in UK. I spoke to a lotus specialist who says the lotus esprit crowd will pay top money for these boxes especially if they are upgraded as ours have been. The only difference is that the lotus uses a different rear cover. But that can be obtained. Depending on internal conditions with those mods you have i was told a price range of £5k to £10k.

Thank you Malcolm. I ordered the Ford Winsor to G50 Porsche adapter kit from Kennedy Eng. yesterday so I have this complete setup for sale in the new year.

Howard, interesting you are converting to G50. I am converting to Quaife ZFQ. I am keeping my flywheel and clutch cover and only changing the friction plate. Is that not an option for you? Just a matter of getting the spline matched.

David, One piece input shaft custom made by Quaife and installed professionally by Chris Cole in England.

Malcom, I going with a Porsche because I am very familiar with the G50s and their descendants. I also have a brand new one freshy rebuilt with a all the really good stuff including, custom taller 1st and 2nd gears, micro polished R&P, steel synchro's. stiff cnc'ed side plate, Quaife TBD an a lot more. This one is as strong as you can make a G50. It held up to 430HP in my SLC on slicks for more than 2500 track only miles. Only the new monster motor could hurt it.

I ordered the adapter kit from Kennedy yesterday. It will take 6-8 weeks to get it. I am going to do a thread about the conversion when I start.

I will want to offer the complete package to use the R21 behind a SBF when I am done.

Good luck with the project Howard. I am amazed at the domino effect of wanting to change the gear box. So many other items get affected. But I have faith it will all be worthwhile in the end.
