Which MkIII is this one?

Which chassis number is this particular car?
i was scrolling through pictures for ideas, and found that the doors and side windows are more of Mk1 than MkIII...
is this a recreation car?

Paul

Hi Paul,
The first post looks like the car that JD Classics restored, described variously as GT40/M3/1101 , GT40 #XP130-1 and as the 'made up' number it wore on a chassis plate when racing as a MK1, GT40P/1101.
I can't be drawn into, or fully understand how, the details of how that all happened..

1108, 1109 etc were left over Mk3 chassis when production ended. They were built up as 'Mk1's' by John Etheridge in the early 1970's & have retained (or been given) original 11xx identities with the agreement of JWA.

Regards Steve
