why reversing UN1 conical gear?

Hi all
may be a stupid question.
UN1 gear box is fit in french car (Renault 25) on the front axle behind the engine.
on the GT40, it will be fit behind the motor but on the rear axle.
so rotation way is similar.
so why everyone is talking about revesing the UN1 conical gear?
is the v6 PRV running opposite way as other engines?

I think that I've found the answer on my own.
reversing is necessary if UN1 is coming from Alpine, but not from R25
am I right?
my gear box is R25 V6 Turbo (supercharged)

can any one confirm?
