America's Dumbest War Ever

Point taken Jim. But for the recent posts above suggesting that google can provide many an image to support any argument. I don't know from your post or the images shown, how widespread such activities or statements by muslims actually are. I fear you tend to think one or two photos prove an entire religion and it's global participants can be represented by a simple picture. I think your opponents are suggesting that scenes like you post are too rare? Perhaps you should journey to a Muslim country, respectfully clothed in a star spangled shirt, and walk gleefully through their streets safe in the knowledge they won't rip you bloody head from your shoulders. The come back here and tell us all how peace loving and progressive their societies really are. Peace bro.

So let me see if I understan what has gone on here.

Pete posted this
I don't know any moderate peace loving Muslims, although I am sure some exist.
Perhaps they prefer to hang out with limp wristed, hand wringing socialists than old white guys?
When has a Christian had a four year old hold up a placard like that?

It sounds like he did not thinks that photos of young Cristians holding "death to" signs existed.

It turns out, that sort of thing goes on.

Then we hear that main stream Muslims do not condemn terrorism, it turns out that many do.

Pete then talks about the Bankstown MSW, he says there are areas you do not go..........

Hell Pete, we have many many places like that, Harlem, Watts, East Oakland........

Now Mark is saying, well sure you have photos, but just a few and they could be fake. Good answer!

All right, Jim. Don't labour the point. When have the "good" Muslims done anything to stop the radicals

Well the ones I speak to condem the radicals

Oh yeah, yeah they do that. Yeah. That's true.

And the ones holding up anti terrorist placards

All right, I'll grant you that the ones you speak to and the anti terrorist placards holders are two things that the Muslims have done...

And the Australian Islamic leaders who condemned the violent protests

Well yes obviously the Australian Islamic leaders ... they go without saying. But apart from the ones you have spoken to, the ones holding the placards, and the Australian Islamic Leaders.....

The free Muslim coalition

Yes... all right, fair enough...

And the ones who believe the best way to deal with them is not pay attention, because attention is what they LOVE.

Oh yes! True!

And the British Muslim group Minhaj ul-Quran that ran 'anti-terrorism' camps for thousands of young Muslims.....

And all the other anti terrorist Muslim organisations around the world

All right... all right... but apart from the ones you personally speak to, the anti terrorist placard holders, the Australian Islamic leaders who condemned the violent protests, the free Muslim coalition, the ones who believe the best way to deal with them is not pay attention, the British Muslim group Minhaj ul-Quran, And all the other anti terrorist Muslim organisations around the world.

Ooh do I detect a note of sarcasm? Alright let's go along with you and Jim
Muslims are really nice people and they do not think that Infidels should be beheaded. The Mullahs preach peace and harmony and the right of all to coexist
Peacefully with others no matter which god they believe in.
Feel better now? Good time for your nap.

Pete, we are only arguing that there are two sides to each discussion. You apparently have only heard one side.

Obviously, all Muslims are not nice people, just as all Chritians and all Austrailians are not nice people either, right?

But then, if there were a news sevice that only pointed out the bad Australians, only showed Australians behaving badly, folks might think that ALL Australians were bad.

This sort of one sided reporting scares gullible people, It can lead to ridiculous over reaction.

There were four Americans killed in a planned attack on our Libyan Consulate, Four! Yet we have several good folks here ready to nuke an entire people, we have Mark suggesting that the right to freedom of speech needs to be re-thought.........Four people.

Pete, if you were really unaware of mainstream Muslims condemning terror, condemning the killing of our Ambassador, chasing the responsibe group out of Benghazi, then perhaps you might consider a new information source.

For those of you who only hear one side: From the Huffington post

BENGHAZI, Libya — Hundreds of protesters angry over last week's killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya stormed the compound of the Islamic extremist militia suspected in the attack, evicting militiamen and setting fire to their building Friday.

Well to be honest my wife and I are from the South West, but the kids now speak with funny accents. :stunned:

Rusholme is part of Manchester innit :)

The Curry Mile is a nickname for the part of Wilmslow Road running through the centre of Rusholme in south Manchester, England. The name is earned from the large number of restaurants, take-aways and kebab houses specialising in the cuisines of South Asia and the Middle East, thought to be the largest concentration of South Asian restaurants outside the Indian subcontinent.[citation needed] Within a length of less than a mile there are least seventy establishments of this kind.

Outside of Juhu Beach, and the Havelli in Stoke Poges road in Sluff,
my time based at Woodford(thats near Manchester) saw twice weekly visits to Curry Mile. The monday night visit was after a group swimming session so sinuses etc were wide open. Often other things were wide open (the following morning).

It's a given that you'd have known it David. Tell me, did you try different ones or use the same establishment each time?

Toilet rolls in the freezer?
