I've bought the car of Paul Bearman and I would like to paint it in Essex Wire (White with red stripe, black patches).
Does somebody has a good picture of the original car?
Thanks
Remy
Terrence Davis in California sells a really nice
large size art print of this car at a very reasonable
price. I bought mine from him on E-bay...but I'm sure it can also be purchased outright.

There are a quite a few excellent photos plus a good deal of history surrounding the cars and the team in John Allen's book "The Ford that beat Ferrari"
I painted my car using Ford European colors. Ronny Spain specs for the early Essex scheme had the main stripe in Orange with Black borders, Cirrus White and Black. The Orange soon changed to Red. The early Cortina Red was my reference so:
Mine is also Ford Cirrus white (ICI P0309049 / 6170X0540 ) but with Ford Performance red (Performance Red - M6564A / 4614) stripe. I just wondered if anyone knew what the "official" colours were?
Did you notice that some cars had no seal under the light covers, one had a black seal, at least one had a roof air vent, some had Marchal? logos on the doors, others didnt? As usual - every car an individual .
