I'm not privy to all that went on, but my understanding is that Dave Brown sold two "flat pack" monos (i.e completely unassembled) back in late 2003 or early 2004. These went back to the UK and some time later Goran struck some sort of deal to copy some, or all, of the components of one of them. Anything more than that would be speculation on my part. I believe that Dave no longer sells full monos unless they are completely assembled at CCD.
Intriguing.. Thanks for the info Brian. Goran always said he had "a full set of original Ford plans" and it got me thinking: just how many darned sets ARE there in existence. Personally, I can't believe there are as many as has been claimed, and so I conclude there's a whiff of BS in the air. Still, it makes for fascinating reading on a quiet night indoors..
