Here you can see that my rear hood mounts like the race car. I added rear mounted Aero Catches to the top rear of the hood. I added large shields on the sides of the transaxle to protect the axle boots from the heat of the exhaust. The back of the mufflers are actually held in place by arms attached to the rear cover of the transaxle.

The "horizontal" Ricardo shifter arm weighted cylinder was cut off , the arm shortened then re attached to clear the side of the muffler during shifts.

Mock up of the production style fuel filler is complete and ready for final welding. A C6 Corvette fuel fill cap and mount was used. This was chosen over the Sparco filler so that the car would pass a inspection without a problem. Also I'm using the complete EVAP system as well so to guarantee that it will be perfectly sealed when it goes through it's various OBD2 self tests a production style of fuel filler cap is needed.

The Corvette filler pipe necks down to 1 inch so it uses a secondary path for air to escape from the fuel tank while filling. A bung was welded in the top of the tank for this reason. You can see the 5/16 inch pipe in the second picture.

Here she's sitting on a set of "Race Ramps" stands waiting to have the spider removed for the next phase of the build. All this is being accomplished in 1/2 of a 20X20 garage.

Here is the finished Fuel filler.
This gets bolted to the backside of the opening in the spider.

The flywheel for the Ricardo has been modified to take a roller bearing instead of the bushing.

Gates #24717 is the correct 90 degree 2" fuel filler neck hose to fit the 2" fitting at the fuel tank. The problem is the Sparco filler fitting is 2 1/4". Best solution is to find a stainless or aluminum adapter (2"od to 2 1/4"od).

The second fuel filler neck hose to buy would be Gates #24713 (45 degree 2 1/4").

Here is an exhaust adapter that would work. I would recommend welding a small bead around the tubing at each end so that the hoses can't come apart if under pressure. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-41700

As a side note I ordered all my needed coolant and exhaust tubing and silicone hose from "Columbia River Mandrel Bending".

All my needed aluminum plate and stainless plate and various other metal products were ordered from "Online Metals".

Ken, thanks for the part numbers.

The total of the Walker reducer and the 2 pricey Gates hoses in most places I searched was about $85-$90 with shipping. I found significantly better prices at autopartsandstuff.com ($56)

With the 12' x 12" sheet of stainless cut three 4 3/4" discs. Then cut holes in these discs 3" in diameter.

Also with the 12" x 12" sheet cut a 2" disc. Then cut a 1" hole in the center.

The 1" stainless 90 degree tubing will need to be cut to size once held in place.

The 2" intercooler coupler needs a 2" disc with a 1" hole welded in one side.

The extension needs to be made so that the fuel fill cap is flush with the body work. Weld two of the 4 3/4" discs with 3" holes to either side of the 3" tubing. The 3" tubing needs to be cut to 2 1/2". in length.

Ken,
Good choices on those vendors. They seem to have the most reasonable prices and shipping charges as well. I have used them frequently.
Another good source for tee-bolt clamps in S.S. and silicone hose is www.siliconeintakes.com

I used a Stant cap #10518

I stay away from the GM fuel filler caps as they don't last very long and lots of members on the "Corvetteforum" have had problems with them sealing.
