MkI with MkII nose

This may or may not be of note to any of you, but in the link to the article posted by Mike (An Original Gulf Livery Car), the only thing that has proper curves on the front arches is my wife, sporting her Gulf shirt at the Concourse D'Elegance of America at St John...

Great thread. Just to throw a spanner in the works, I have always preferred a MKI with the MKIII nose - the best of ALL worlds....

That looks very much like Ford's own original Mk3.

Pic attached of the same car that I took at the Evo magazine GT40 day at Oulton Park a few years ago.

GT40M3/1107 should be at the Goodwood Members Meeting in a couple of weeks time, performing its usual course car duties.

These days it's red with no stripe.

Agreed Allan, silver has it for me.

Incidentally, it's only been painted red as Ford wanted to recreate the famous poster of the GT40 being "ticketed" by a traffic warden, unfortunately they didn't realise that it was a Mk.I in the poster... doh!!!
