ID of this Mk-I road car at 1968 Bryar SCCA event

this car appears to be a road car, with a New Hampshire dealer plate, later "gulf" style tail lamps and additional back-up lamps below.
I suspect it may be P1058 a red car sold to Al Grillo, ... or P1059 maroon, P1063 red or P1064 blue.
these 4 were not sold by 1968 or were used as FoMoCo show / promotional car.

any additional info out there would be helpfuk

"...these 4 were not sold by 1968 or were used as FoMoCo show / promotional car."
If they were the ones used by FoMoCo for promotional purposes, I sat in one of those four in a Ford dealer's showroom in Charlottesville, VA back in those days. I should have snapped a picture...

None of the above, it's 1044.

Graham.
Graham, I have a hobby of keeping records of GT40’s that have appeared at Oulton Park race circuit (I saw one there in the late 60’s when I was a child and it started my love of them). On a recent discussion on the Oulton Park Facebook page about GT40 P1044 that was photographed on 28th June 1986, a gentleman provided the following story (I have heard I think the GT40 was doing a demo and a friend of my fathers who bought that a few days before in Scotland and flipped at Oulton a few days later.
My old man was at West Road Garage A49 Weaverham and it came in for fuel that Sat morning).

Do you know if this is true? Ronnie Spain’s book only documents it till 1985. I would love to find out.

As a child, I went to Bryar a couple of times. Now it's called the New England Motor Speedway. They replaced most of the track with a ~1 mile oval, but on the back straight, there's an option to turn right to go uphill and then down into the old Bryar carousel, then you up and back down to the track. The two banked turns have an alternate flat section of track with a couple of turns.

As an adult, I've been back to NHMS for a driving school on the road course variation with one of the banked turns.

You can see the track here:

If you zoom in, you can see they have the track setup to use the carousel. And it looks like by the nature of the detour when you return to the track you're forced on to the flat turn instead of the banked turn.
