Hi Everybody, my first posting! I have just taken delivery of a CAV GT40 built to my specification by Andy Waters and company at GT40 Supercars. Despite starting with a factory built car, it was a long journey to get the engine, carbs and gearbox etc that I wanted and to get the car legal and registered for the road. Nonetheless it is now in my garage and when the weather improves I intend to learn how to drive it! I know that I took the easy way compared to most of you guys, but I suspect that many (all?) of you are much younger than I ! I was engaged in the finishing of the car all the way along and despite many frustrations in terms of delays, I am very happy with the quality of work that Andy and his small team managed.
I have been a regular watcher of the forum for many months and now feel that I can be part of this community and ask all sorts of stupid questions as my experience with car develops
