Newby with tire questions.

Jean-Marc, this is the Nankang pricing sheet from the Roger Krauss Racing website.

That was totally unexpected.
I never saw that coming.

It'll be interesting now to see how the Nova and Nankang camps establish themselves.

I'm looking forward to a side by side track and road comparison at some point in the future.

Michael, thank you for this information, Markus, they seems to be market in Europe, but the usual vendors for competition tires in continental Europe do not market them.

Yes, I heard about the Nankang a while ago but never found sufficient information in the web. Only with the exact tire type posted by Michael above I was able to find something. The regular online tire shop don't have them.....
I'm also curious how they compare to Nova's. Also interesting how the Nova's compare to the Avon's!?

You can't go wrong with Avons, if you can find them. I run 8.5 wide 15" rims on the front and 12 x 15" rims on the rear, shod with 215-60-15 at front and 295-50-15 at rear. Yes - in both cases that's wider than the recommended max rim width for each tyre, but they fit well and look great (IMHO), and my local tyre specialist, who fits a lot of tyres for race cars, had no qualms about fitting them.View attachment 148991View attachment 148992
