Gone for 10 years... Getting into a RCR40

Thanks, good to be back! Of all the cars that I have owned I miss my GTD 40 the most of all. Road America is a great track and I hope to run it a few more times in the RCR GT40. Now that I am in Houston I will try to make it out to your neck of the woods and get on some of the tracks in your...

Gone for 10 years... Getting into a RCR40

Thanks, Bill, It is good to be back! I don't think that I will even try to retire again until I am 70 or older. I like being in Houston because it is centrally located which means that I can go East or West to visit friends and tracks without having to travel for 3 days.

Gone for 10 years... Getting into a RCR40

Randy, Thanks, it's good to be back. Mike, I have owned a few 'cudas... They have all been cool cars to drive. D. Nye, Thanks, I agree... You are only 20 minutes from me (I am by lake Houston). My GT40 and ZF should both arrive sometime in May. Scott, Sounds like our builds will be...

Gone for 10 years... Getting into a RCR40

Thank you, I sold it before going to Mexico but the car is in Houston and is owned by a friend of mine so a showing could be arranged. BTW he is also building a '77 280Z with the same drive train (engine, intake, trans and rear end) that my Z had but he is keeping the body fairly stock.

Gone for 10 years... Getting into a RCR40

I left GT40's.com about 10 years ago when I sold my GTD GT40 and retired from Ford Mo.Co. to retire in Mexico. We started out traveling the U.S.A. for about 6 months and during this time we decided that we would not be able to retire since we did not know what to do with our spare time. We moved...

If the neighbors can't handle the noise then they can move! I worked to hard and when I retire I am going to have some fun! When the house is finished you all are welcome to visit, heck you can come and work on it with me if you want to. I can't pay much but I will supply the beer! On...

    G50 axle angle

Tim, here is a shot from the back and from about the centerline of the wheel. Remember that I moved my engine foward and lowered it to get these axle angles. Front to back the axles are almost on the hub centerline. Top to bottom the transaxle output hub centerline is about 1.25" higher than...

Hi Ian, Tim and Faili, I am alive and well. I will be moving to Mexico sometime next summer but because Faili is going to be so close to Huatulco I decided to buy a ocean front lot on the Costa Maya about 7 miles South of Mahahual (I bought in a different location because I found a better lot...

New Diff Ratios available for OI6

Very well done Robert! This is the type of problem that should be handled by a manufacturer not the builder. You identified a problem with the gearbox that the majority of your customers are using and came up with a viable solution. Kudos to you! I am also aware that you have tackled other...

Lynn and Joseph, I agree 100%!

A question to everyday GT40 drivers

Joseph, I agree, I never took two spaces and I always parked wherever there was an available spot, never locked the car and never worried about it and I can say that I never got a scratch from a door or a key or whatever. When my wife and I would come back from shopping, dinner or a movie there...

    GTD brakes?

I chose not to use the servos when I built my GTD, only difference is that more pedal effort will be required. Going to a smaller bore master cylinder will correct pedal effort. I am not sure if your laws require the use of servos.

    My GTD is for sale

Very nice boat but I prefer a couple of V8's in the rear.
