    Axle dilema

Thanks Guys! I like both suggestions. The custom shaft makes for a nice and clean install. "Factory" look. On the other hand the adapter is cheap and can make it myself. Off the shelf CV axles are cheap and available quick. BTW guys, any suggestions/experiences with adapter material. Happen...

Going to make an X-pipe exhaust

Hi Darrin, Will be following this thread closely, this is my next task. Is there a big performance difference between H and X? Or none? What are you doing with exhaust headers? I'm still not sure if I need cats, how is it in Texas? Regards, Renato

    Axle dilema

Hi all, Looking for input on which way to go with half shafts. Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated. Option 1 - bottom setup in the picture: Using standard half shaft "off the shelf" with aluminum (or steel?) adapters to O1E. Option 2 - top portion of the picture: Using...

    Renato's GT40 MkI Coyote

Engine Long time since my last post and not much done. Lots of things happening around me that took priority. Trying to get back the momentum... Machined the thermostat housing to accept a regular hose rather then special quick connect. Also fabricated a piece of pipe to make connections a bit...

    Marko's GTD (I think) 40

Puno pozdrava, Renato

    Radiator fill and overflow

Hi Darrin, Here's a picture of Coyote Cooling System in a Mustang. It's not the same as GT40 but it is a good start to figure out the piping. I'm planning to do similar to Mustang but didn't figure it all out yet. Renato

    Andrew's GT Forte build.

Rochester NY is a bit far from me... I been watching your and few other builders progress with fiberglass and it seems hard. I'm trying to get mechanicals done and then will tackle the body, and learn as much as possible from you guys along the way! Have a safe trip! Renato

    Renato's GT40 MkI Coyote

Good point Darrin, they do feel a bit low. It shouldn't be a problem to move the foot plates higher, they are bolted on. The accelerator is one plastic piece. I guess it can be cut and re-bolted to gain height. Not sure how annoying the pedal position will be. Do know that pedals are...

    Renato's GT40 MkI Coyote

Throttle Pedal Fabricated mount for throttle pedal from a piece of 1/4 aluminum. Made it adjustable so I can get a better fit after all is done. Pedal is part of Ford Control Pack for Coyote engine. Renato

    Renato's GT40 MkI Coyote

Shifter Looks like another possible donor for the shifter. It came from 99 Dodge Neon and can be found in every junk yard cheap. It looks very similar to Toyota that is hard to find in the US. It should require minimum modifications to get it to work. The forward/backward cable fits perfect...

Chassis Back to paneling for a while. A quick job to cover the top front bulkhead. My Sikaflex from year ago dried completely, had to buy new tubes. It was a sealed tube and it was garbage. I guess, use it or loose it... Renato

    Andrew's GT Forte build.

Hi Andrew, Nice progress!! I was thinking along the same lines as Keith and didn't panel the sides yet. Did you think about how are you going to panel the inside of that area so you don't have fuel pipes running inside the cabin? Did you fill in between the paneling with foam or insulation...

    Renato's GT40 MkI Coyote

The angle shouldn't change much just the mounting point will go forward together with my fire wall and the seat. My seat will be against the firewall because I'm 6'1" and need all the space I can get. That manual for locating seat belts is very informative, thanks so much Bill. Maybe it should...

    Renato's GT40 MkI Coyote

Hi Bill, Great observation! You are correct, my original firewall had a bend in it and that is what you are seeing on the upright tubes. I'm trying to gain every inch possible because of Coyote size, it's very big on the top. Decided to go with strait fire wall, from the top of roll bar to the...
