    My Lotus build

Well I guess no one gives a damn about a lowly Lotus build. Even though the Lotus 47 was one of the progenitors of the GT40. So I'll just stop posting any updates. I've posted several but only one response/comment.

    Porsche 986 trans

I've had some advise that the 986 Boxter trans is a good one to use. Has anyone used one? What code letters/numbers should I look for that would have the LSD (or do they have them)?

    Gravity Racer

Sounds like fun. I built a soap box derby car when I was 13. The local Elks Lodge built a track special for it. Still have the "Official" wheels axles & steering wheel & the plaque all participants got (Somewhere LOL). Think low center of gravity & frontal area, weight forwards.

    Mclaren M6 body?

I don't think Toluka Lake is still in business. I haven't been able to find a link to them that still works. I've had a couple of messages back & forth from Richard at Autotune today as a matter of fact. He's going to check with his guy for a shipping quote. You know he's a member here? He...

    sparco spx

Height & width are always a problem. I bought a set of racing type seats a couple of years ago for my Corvette. Thought they'd look great in it. Only problem they were too wide ! Ended up in my son's 70 beetle LOL

    Mclaren M6 body?

Thanks guys I was hoping to avoid the extra expense in shipping. I heard from Vintage Engineering right here in California. That they do make an M6 body. They also make reproduction suspension parts like uprights.

    Mclaren M6 body?

Is there anyone that makes an M6 body in the States? Or an M1? Thinking down the road to maybe doing a Mclaren. I like the earlier more rounded bodies than the M8s. Cheers

What was your engine used in? I see a lot of oil pans on ebay. But they all refer to the model name they are for. Or are you satisfied with the pan you've made?

    Audi codes

Thanks Paul I'll look them over & have a friend of mine look at them (he knows much more than me about gear ratios). A little confusing though. It looks like the codes are the same for different years etc but are different ratios?

    Audi codes

I'm just looking at alternative trans that work well with the Buick/Rover. Most that I see for Audi give the model of car A4 I'm not sure about 012 designation. I know the different letter codes are for gear ratios etc. What have you found that work well on the road for that engine/trans combo...

    Audi codes

Can anybody tell me what the code for the correct gearing would be for an Audi A4 trans. I know nothing about trans & gear ratios LSD etc. Just want to back up my Buick 215 putting out about 250 horse 5spd? 6spd? It's all a mystery to me LOL Thanks

    My Lotus build

Got the aluminum ducting finished up. Started finishing all the welding. Closing off the open tubes (one of my dislikes is open ends). Maybe it's the silversmith in me. But I dislike open ends & lumpy bumpy welds that should be dressed down LOL This will all be sand blasted & powder coated...
