cheers phil. i think i'll try part no qsj711/vl711/bbj711, in fact, lots of ball joint part numbers ending in 711 are for mk1/2 granada but have the same bolt pattern as the cortina part i have, which ends 663. they must be different, or they would list the same cars in the "suitable for"...

hi people, i have standard gtd front wishbones, using cortina mk3 balljoints. i read that the mk3 granada upright had a better ackerman angle than mk2 granada uprights. so i got some mk3 ones and a top hat set up to go where the strut went, so they can be used in a double wishbone set up. but...

:idea:frank's done loads to help, as you have, so i didn't want to keep hastling him, especially for a measurement!! but if i have to, it's a small drive. i can work it out from the pics i have, to within a couple of mm, which, going by the thickness of the shims i've seen on some chassis...

cheers andy, i suspected that was the case, but for now i just want the measurement of a gtd using standard nylon bushed gtd lower and upper arms, using standard granada front uprights. i'm not scared of changing at a later date if it's that terrible, but by using gtd measurements with standard...

i followed a few links to katicore. now gone, but started up in partnership doing plastic engineering:stunned: seems this set up is used on big bhp stuff. tractor pulling and 2000bhp methanol cars, so i don't think this will be a restriction in my lo-cost set up!:thinking:

hi people in my computer, i won some throttle bodies for my lo-cost build, i was going to use gsxr tb's as i use this set up on my other cars, and buy another emerald ecu as i know these. but i keep a lookout all the time for stuff, and i bid on dc&o tb's as they came with an ecu, manifold,fuel...

some nice toys there!!

hello computer people, i need the measurement for the centre of the bolt hole for the front lower wishbone. no measurements on my plans:embarassed:! something like "20mm up and 3 mm right". but i want to make sure. gtd chassis, cheers, glen i need a hole here!

yesterday i got dc&o throttle bodies, ecu, injectors ,fuel rails and manifold, and tomorrow i plan to do some more welding, it's coming together. looking like it might be a 5k build:thumbsup:

i love that.....so true!! just got in from more chassis welding, re-welding previous work that wasn't good enough! i will do it!!
