    Rookie mistake and the concequences

Nice Job Bill! I have the worst luck with body work, just don't have the skill and never had anyone to teach me. Don't feel to bad about the accident, we all have had them and like Jim I forgot to latch my rear deck lid, cost me $1100 to fix the spoiler and repaint, thank GOD it didn't come...

SPF #2285 Born, But Still Coming To Life

A 302 making a 700HP would have to have forced induction or maybe it spins to 9000 RPM, either way I don' think it would be reliable. Just to think I was looking to swap to a 331 to drop a couple hundred HP, dang I guess I would be going the wrong way.

    Why are GT40's so expensive?

SPF #2285 Born, But Still Coming To Life

Sean I have stated I have solid cam and the car is over 12k miles, no rebuilds, no problems, the only time I have checked the adjustment is before a open road race and one other time. So that makes 5 times I checked them, at least two of those times needed no adjustments at all. I would prefer...

Sean if you really are in doubt about solid lifters go with hydraulic. I really don't see a concern but if you worry about it just install hydraulic.

I was wondering about that, didn't know if SPF has hubs that are splined or if you have to machine them. All the original cars had splined hubs correct ?

I really like those wire wheels, makes it looks time correct, all the great sports cars of that time frame had wires.
