A quick prayer would be appreciated

All the very best John, and your neighbours. I live with bush around, and run a local Fire Group in my street, and know that feeling of getting ready for evacuation very well.

    project car to buy!!!!!

Those Israelites kept stuffing up, too. Moses lost it at one point, so had to die and not get translated (although he was given a vision of the future, as a consolation prize). If you are scratch building, don't worry about the ADR's and NSW regulations. They will be totally different by the...

    Time for Tribal Council ?

Even when the Tribal Council pisses you off, you can still get affection from your favourite sheep (so I'm told). If sheep are the answer, what the hell was the question?

All this luvvy duvvy caring stuff is making me ill. We may need Keith's ship so a few members can walk the plank and piss off.

    GT40 dashboard clock

Rick, I can understand the cigarette lighter installation, so the driver can "relax" in long distance races. But why put a temperature gauge in the cockpit to confirm to the driver that he's uncomfortably hot? Bad psychology it would seem.

    venom kit cars???

If you're thinking GT40's, the only local kits available are from The New Roaring Forties in Melbourne. DRB are selling parts and offering support, but have ceased making kits. RCR Australia has ceased, and Craig White (was local agent) appears to be moving into various things. You can import...

    Watch this space!

Hi Lance. Not wanting to de-rail this thread, but did you get your 40 all assembled, with the lengthened footwells? I sat in it one Saturday night about a year ago when Dave drove me around to see it and check how my height fitted.

Getting married - must get the 40 finished now

Congratulations Trev. Now hurry up with the build, and enjoy your pre-marital fabrication.

    GT40 dashboard clock

I have a June 1969 local road test (Australia) of a racing GT40 converted and registered for road use. This car (unfortunately doesn't state chassis no.) has, according to the article, gauges: speedometer, oil temperature, oil pressure, interior temperature (cause it gets very hot inside), stop...

    First Time AC Charging

I note they talk about evacuating the refrigerant system for 30 - 60 minutes. The typical GT40 system with condenser in front of the radiator has a lot of refrigerant piping and/or tubing, so needs longer than this. After leak testing, when you are satisfied with the integrity of your piping...

    Imagine you're a Woman....

Flat Chat has a wife who races a Cobra seriously. How good is that?

    Imagine you're a Woman....

That's rather bitter and cynical, Tim. She might be very nice, and love cars and football, and leave the toilet seat up for him, and let him spend their income how he pleases.... Oooh, just woke up from a nap. Where was I??

    The New Guy

Welcome Mike, and Vinny, great things are ahead. Tim, you are correct. There seems to be a timeless quality, which is gratifying, and provides common ground joining successive generations.

I don't mind Turnbull myself. But what did we do to deserve all this? I wouldm't feed most of our pollies. But let's not get political here, some people get carried away.

So much for richer, for poorer.

Now you lay out the options clearly, I'm getting depressed and stressed. (where did I go wrong?)
