My patterns for the steering rack are at the foundry and they are making up the boxes and cores for me this month. We are probably casting these in LM25 with heat treatment and not in magnesium alloy.

Does anyone have experience of a premium hose rated at R9 specification which has a smooth O/D skin ?. Most of those which I have seen have rippled or rough surfaces outside. Thanks

Sarma latch - Straight back version. These are the same dimensions but made with thicker material so are stronger and safer than Hartwells with that double locking tab.

Thank you, each and all but everyone who knows me will tell you that I very rarely sell parts, so not a loss. The pattern and core box for a fast rack number / 6512 are almost complete and this will be my last foundry job.:cool:

I have just completed some new major casting patterns but the quoted cost of foundry work is now prohibitive due to current UK energy supply costs. End of this hobby methinks...
