    AFR gauge recommendation?

Thanks Mark, some good stuff there. Most of what I see either comes with a sensor, or is designed to control a sensor, whereas all I am really looking for is a gauge to read the signal off my existing sensor controller. I have found only one stand alone gauge which specifically says that it...

    AFR gauge recommendation?

High Andrew, thanks for the suggestions, I am searching the Emerald Manual, no direct reference to AFR output, there are some outputs, of which one refers to pwm. 3 IACV1/IACV-PWM/AuxOut3 IACV stepper motor channel 1, IACV pwm control or user assigned output But when I look at that page in...

    AFR gauge recommendation?

I looked for wideband AFR gauges, which seemed a little overpriced for what I thought was essentially a 0-5V gauge. (I already have a Bosch WB sensor and controller feeding 0-5v to an Emerald K6 ecu). So, I tried my multimeter, but impedance is too low and drags down the signal to the ecu. Any...

Installation of Jenveys with Emerald ECU on my 302

Hi Andrew, thanks for the confirmation on flows. I will be looking in to this shortly. First I will do a check without the additional filters as one possibility is they introduce too much resistance. They will have done their job now after all the disturbance to the tanks. I was trying to...

Installation of Jenveys with Emerald ECU on my 302

Update I reduced the fuelling by reducing ecu MBPS which improved the running to the point where I was happy to drive about 25miles to a rolling road. The engineer went about setting things up at low revs and working his way up. No pulls or anything and the highest speed he really used was...

Installation of Jenveys with Emerald ECU on my 302

On Friday, I had a go at balancing the TB's at idle. I made a simple manometer with a wooden lathe turned cap with a 1" hole. Coloured the water with some red syrup. A couple of rubber washers with 10mm and 8mm holes over the 1" turned out to be what was required to get decent readings. At...

Installation of Jenveys with Emerald ECU on my 302

Cheers Jimmy, last week was MOT so first time on the road. Drivable in top gear but doesnt rev, masdively overfuelled but I'm learning to adjust to the point where it will drive a bit further to a rolling road. A few pictures.

    Help! Jenveys butterfly looseness.

Sorted, it was a loose screw, the two butterfly spindles are connected by a hollow spacer with grub screws. Access is through the nameplate which reveals a cavity with the spindles and spacer. I will post pics in my main thread as I can't seem to resize the photos on this tablet. Dave

    Help! Jenveys butterfly looseness.

Started to balance Jenvey pairs at idle. Number 5 was reading 3 times more flow than all the others including its brother number 6. I see that the butterfly has some play relative to its brother which explains the symptom. I tried to remove screws holding the Jenvey nameplate on but couldn't...

    Insurance companies

Thanks guys, I was with Classic Line before, so I finally went back to them. The quote I got from AIB was £285, other quotes from companies I didn't know as high as £385. Classic Line matched the AIB price although for a lower mileage + £20 for 2 years guaranteed value. Happy with that since it...

Plug leads for Gen II Ford coils.

What's the solution here, buy Gen II coil end connectors and mod my own leads, get 2 sets of Fiesta leads or what have others done. Coils are mounted at the front end of each cylinder head, so I need to watch out for a little additional length for the leads that cross to the other side. Dave

Cam Synch or distributor stub for EFI

I ended by ordering a cam synch from Summit, together with a fuel solenoid switching valve for my tank return. I will post pictures in my main thread.

Cam Synch or distributor stub for EFI

Randy, thanks, mine is an Edelbrock 2222 camshaft which is steel. I made sure the distributor gear was also. This is worth repeating a million times if it saves one person from a bad experience :) Dave

Cam Synch or distributor stub for EFI

Hi Andy, thanks, it was just a convenient way of maintaining oil pump drive. I would have converted my original distributor except that it is in poor condition. I have a relatively new Mallory Unilite, but I would be reluctant to chop it. A second hand distributor is an option. For your system...
