If you like the Pilot Sport A/S, have you looked at the Pilot Sport 4 A/S? They're a lot quieter on the track than the Pilot Sport 3 A/S I used to have on my Mustang. (I'm not driving at 10/10ths nor am I a tire expert. I'm just having fun driving in circles)

The four Shell ad cars (1025, 1030, 1035 and 1036) were completed in "semi-race" condition. They have race engines (289 Trans Am engines), but a street clutch and door locks. They don't have ash trays and carpeted interiors.

I think the clutch is different and the road car has nicer seats. Also, they have chrome FORD letters on the nose.

That's good advice. I have an open trailer (Brian James) I got nearly 30 years ago. It's a great trailer with a tilt bed and a GT40 fits on it (the doors clear the fenders). But soon after I got a Mustang, I discovered the Mustang is too wide.to fit. And related advice for closed trailers...

I have no idea if this would help, but perhaps sell the engine before you ship the car and then buy a rebuilt '65 engine in the US.
