GREAT HARNESS ARTICLE AVAILABLE FROM TRAUMA DOC

Excelent, I just printed and gave to my son (16 years old). The next thing I do is "surf" for the proper belts. Thanks

New forum section - what say folks?

Ron, I very much like Hersh's idea concerning "articles". After I made my plunge I immediatly went to the search function, and brought up panel instalation, which was of big concern. There is obviously a great deal of talent and experience here, with an article base and a followup discussion...

Hershal, thanks for the information. I went to the sites and after doing my "honey do list" I have the "needed" items on order.

    GT40s difficult to build?

I have built a Porsche Speedster and restored a couple of cars (I owned two Fiats while going to school) and a good manual is invaluable. I just recieved the RF manual (CD PDF format) and after reviewin I can say it is one of the best construction guides I have seen.

    I took the plunge

Malcolm M, my wife is convinced on only take on these projects to "justify" buying the tools. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Installing Panels

Hershal, when you did your panel work did you use an electric or pneumatic drill, and did you use a pneumatic pop rivet gun? Now that I am about to begin any advice is welcome. I also seem to remember you had posted pictures of the paneled chassi but I can not find them. Could you direct me...

    I took the plunge

After reviewing the various GT40 replicas I took the plunge and ordered a RF GT40. When I first started looking in earnest, I had not completely determined if it would be a kit or turn-key minus. So I basically did parallel searches – turnkey and kit BUT after much consideration we made the...

    This is a leading question.

Local Lotus dealer, Criswell in Maryland, has basic information from press release by Arnie Johnson, CEO Lotus US. Car will be here in fall of 2003 with 120 hp and everything except hard top. Softer suspension. Last week they had 14 deposits. There are three versions avilable in US now. One...

    Physical impossibility?

Bill, when my wife saw your car (which is absolutly wonderful) and JT sat in it she commented that was one thing she would never have to worry about - at least when he was in the car. Thanks again for the opertunity to see your GT40

    Porsche 928 5ltr V8 and transmission into a GT40

Ron, your correct about the 944 - the clutch was at the engine. The transmission was taken from Audi with the bell housing. I have been looking for the 928 information. Only thing I found was with the auto (M-B) the torque converter was at the engine.

    Porsche 928 5ltr V8 and transmission into a GT40

The 928 is on of the cheapest cars to buy and one of the most expensive to own. While the car is strong, parts are very expensive because of limited availablity. I am not sure about mounting the engine to the transaxel. I seem to remeber the clutch is in the rear and the engine was purpose...

    Physical impossibility?

Now I know why a "proper" car has the shift lever mounted next to the door.

Small Block & Engine Control Systems

OK guys I need some help. Convinced the wife (it is my birthday) that my 16 year old needs a science fair project, and considering he is like all kids computer crazing, working with a computerized engine managment system would be good. SO the science fair project is to build a small block Ford...
