    Photos on Canvas

Ron, I hope this ok to post here. It was a very cool gift from my wife. A client at my wife's office notice pictures of my car on her desk and asked if I would be interested in framing them. His company site http://www.thephotoartpeople.com specializes in printing photo's on canvas. This makes...

    Polyurethane Paint

I don't think a shop can spray Imron anymore in California. It's on the ban list and I believe it doesn't spray well from an HVLP gun.

Vintage Wheels 17 inch BRM delay

For those that have not seen Vintage Wheels up close, they are beautiful. The powder coating is second to none and the service it top notch. Yes I'm a happy customer. :pepper:

    A Chat Feature

Mine worked fine with IE. I have found with other Java based chat's that if you go out to www.sun.com and install the latest Jave Runtime Environment that it clears up most of the errors associated with IE and Java chat.

    A Chat Feature

Tested it out and it worked fine. Chatted with a member from Texas with no problems. You may want to see if you can force them to be logged into this site prior to launching. Helps keep the trolls out.

    RCR #010 Build Progress

I don't know what Bill used on the tires but if you go to an arts/crafts store they have paint pens that are made to write/draw on clothing. Your kids have probably done this at some point. They material is flexible and stay on and stays white for quite a while.

    Protecting Alum. Monocoque Tub

I left the body of my Cobra in bare aluminum with a brushed finish. Easy to maintain with nothing but windex and the occassional soap/water. If it gets real nasty a little maroon scotch brite perks it right up. Now if I can just get someone to buy the thing I'll order an RCR40 and probably...

    Under side of rear clip

Tim, I was thinking along those lines as well. Maybe use some thin aluminum strips around the edges and down the center held on by the studs. That way it wouldn't require too many studs to be glassed in.

    Under side of rear clip

That's what I have in my Kirkham. Works very well.

    RCR Assembly

Bill I would love to come up some time but finding the time has been the issue lately. It will be about 3 hours each way for me so it will be a full day trip. I may be able to run up there on Saturday August 5th. Would that work for you? The wife will be away that weekend and can't plan...

    Under side of rear clip

I talked to the guys at Herculiner and they said it's only rated to 254 degrees and it will start getting sticky. I guess that option is out. Maybe the other brands have higher heat ratings.

Are there any completed RCR-40 MkIV pics out there?

Yep. Would have expected it there.

    Under side of rear clip

How are guys treating this?? Some more newbie questions: Do you just have the body/paint guy prep it and paint? It seems many in the pictures are black on the underside. Is it painted that way or some other coating? How do you deal with heat from the exhaust? Do most people ceramic coat...

Are there any completed RCR-40 MkIV pics out there?

Is there a good site that highlights the difference in the MK1, MKII and MKIV?

    RCR Assembly

Thanks Fran. Short of having you post a couple hundred pictures I just wanted to get an idea of exactly how some of the car went together. I'm trying to get my ducks in a row so I can put my Cobra on the market. Once it sells I want to build a GT40 and so far I think yours is the only one...

    Vehicle Shipping in North America

Thumbs up all the way for Rich Lacey. He may not be the cheapest out there but you definitely get what you pay for. He delivered my car when I bought and he kept me informed all the way. Called the day before to let me know an approximate range of arrival time to be sure I was going to be...

    ERA kit

If I could get the same deal again I would build 2 or 3 a year. I was one of a few that got a special deal. Recieved the car with the body on frame, interior panels and foot boxes installed. Then there were about 20 big boxes of parts. Quite easy to assemble. All bolt on stuff except the...

    ERA kit

Fearsom I'm in the same place. Finished with the Kirkham and have the itch to build something new. Looking at the GT40 as the next project.
