Brian M's SL-C Turnkey Build Thread

Hmm. I am also doing the rear scoop which may give me the extra room. The other thing that “may” be possible is to lay muffler on its side so that the pipers are on the top. This would also save an inch. Going to call Fran on Monday to see if they can be squeezed in. Fingers crossed

Brian M's SL-C Turnkey Build Thread

Happy Thanksgiving all - I was thinking of buying this R8 Exhaust. The Exhaust canister size: 17" x 8" x 4.5" approx. It appears from other race rail cars that there is more than 9” in height between transaxle and the underside of the rear clam. Question - can someone confirm how much room...

    Best QR steering wheel

Actually I looked on NRG's web site for the short hubs and they list only the NRG - SRK 170H for "ALL Oldsmobile Vehicles". Here is the link: http://www.getnrg.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=26

Thanks Joel - I appreciate it. Can someone else confirm Joel's thoughts on using the NRG - SRK 170H short hub to connect to the Olds Steering column in the SLC?

    Best QR steering wheel

Not my "wheel" House - need your help :) I am planning to purchase these 2 items which from a Brand perspective are well respected. But....before I hit the Purchase button, I wanted to get your expert opinions: Are there any know issues with either of these two fitting / working together...

    Sl-C or a finished car?

I will offer my POV which aligns with both Will and Alan but with a slght twist -- I am having Fran build a turnkey car for me. All of what Will said is exactly true for me AND most of what Alan is also true to for me. The one tweak that I would make to Alan's is that I am building exactly...

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

Not sure where you have your display but if you have enough depth perhaps you should look at some of the Alpine / Pioneer / Jensen / Kenwood Stereos that have the 7 Inch LCD displays. . Some of them support multi-camera (ie. front and rear cameras). NOTE - most are making them much more...

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

I did some recent research and the feedback was pretty good. Unfortunately however, I'm not sure I can proceed anyway per the post right above. Due to the VERY low nature of the SLC, the Front mount is less than their required 12". As a result, they don't know if they will be able to stitch /...

Brian M's SL-C Turnkey Build Thread

Brian M's SL-C Turnkey Build Thread

Hi all, I never created a build log thread. I know that 90+% of the build logs are for guys doing the builds in their garage. Hence, why I didn't create a build log. However, even though I am doing a Turnkey build, I am spending days and nights focused on all of the aspects that I am...

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

Hi all...I wanted to think Will aka @P-nut for the measurements. Which appear to be at ~10-11" off the pavement. This likely puts a real damper on moving forward with that 360 camera. The company said they think the cameras needs to be 12" or higher or it may not be able to integrate the...

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

it is probably worth noting that I have having Tino from LCD Displays building my custom LCD Dash and center console displays. He has been very easy and accommodating and has been designing custom screens to my spec for each are of functionality that I am looking for. I am happy to share more...

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

Yes I confirmed that it can use a shared display. I am planning to have a LCD display as a center console to manage everything. This company confirmed that you can use any display you want as long as your screen as a universal RCA or HDMI input port that you can plug into

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

Joel - that is a nice rear camera. I am planning to also get a rear view LDC mirror as well and will definitely be looking closely at that one you provided above However, the 360 degree system is above and beyond the rear view mirror (for those who want the birds eye views looking down at...

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

Hi all My garage door is going to be pretty narrow so I am thinking of installing a 360 camera that would provide "always on" (if desired) capability that would enable me to see around the entire car. I also want the Rear View / Reverse functionality with the gridlines. These 360 systems...

Your first car was a ____________

My first car was a 1966 Plymouth Fury III that I purchased for $350 in 1991. It was an all original, had the 360 in it with only 58,000 miles on it. It was a great first car for me at 16 y/o. It was a Florida Car and I put a $99 Earl Scheib paintjob on it. I have great memories from that car
