While i was working on my slc in the beginning I carried 100 grit sandpaper. I sanded the sharp /rough edges of the car as I worked and sanded all parts as well for sharp edges Only takes a couple of minutes..otherwise your going to see blood spots everywhere.. wondering "where the heck did...

I had to carefully sand to get the edges perfect using a long block. Pics of doors ..inside of doors and the tools I used..with a jigsaw..

And the other door is done. The edges are 1 1/2 inches and they get a slight bit wider as they go into the angles. It has a nice look . I made my cuts with curved corners to help alleviate stress compared to a straight corner cut

Once I had it sanded down I made a template of the window to perfectly match the other side..1 pice at a time..

Once i got the shape l wanted Then I used wide tape and lined the window. And marked my cuts. I did a rough cutout and and will sand it down to the layout line These are the the measurements of my cuts...just a reference.

I used a piece of tape...cut to 3 inches ...to check the "outside line" measurement. My left vent "outside" fender line will match the right side exactly...the back, of the outside line should line up with top of the fender ridge line...I'm going to "fine tune" the cutout using a block and...

I made a template. there is A LEFT and RIGHT side vent. (Hard to tell with naked eye. See my template on vent) my vents are facing "inward" ....i Layed template down.Measured in 10 inches from The back clam ..thats my back cut.(markd INSIDE of template)...the template showed 3 inches...

Thanks Howard!! I haven't drilled the frame yet . I'll mount my filters after I get the body on (if I can). Just in case I have to move it a couple inches..I still have room for a battery too!!

I'm going to mount my fuel pumps/filters on the outside frame using 1/8 aluminum sheeting (ebay), aluminum corner bracket( home D) and some nuts and bolts. Seems like plenty of room to mount pumps /filters inside or outside of frame time to mount fuel pumps filters and connect hoses

The kit comes with a 2 gallon tank and a smaller 1gallon tank. Change to the smaller tank. May need to buy aTee fitting.(big tank has 5 holes little tank has 4)
