Apparently it's a 2K etch primer - codes are GEP001 and GET001, mixed 50/50 and gives excellent adhesion. He's using Scotchbrite and MEK panel wash before spraying...and he'll have done his research beforehand, he's that kinda guy.
Hi Neil
I believe it's a Tetrosyl etch primer, popular amongst the UK Vans builders, applied following careful prep with Scotchbrite and MEK. I'd have to check with Andy re: exact details. It's not alumiprep / alodine as far as I know.
Cheers,
Eddy
Popped round to my mate Andy's house yesterday to return a book he'd lent me (How to Build a Car - Adrian Newey's autobiography...a very good read) and found him building his kit plane:-

Second Pfizer jab last Thursday, in UK. No side-effects...haven't given it a second thought, to be honest. Sooner we reach 90% vaccinated the better for everyone...whether you're in the 90% or the remaining 10%.
As you most likely have a mixture of iron and aluminium parts in your cooling system, I would be using OAT red antifreeze to reduce the likelihood of corrosion caused by dissimilar metals. Have a look for Comma SLA5L; should be widely available.
@Jazz Cut up a set of Chinese IDAs to make his own ITBs...and I think he said that the quality of the die castings was surprisingly good.

I still haven't final-rivetted the last few panels, while I finish fitting wiring / aircon / fuel lines. Wait until you're sure...
I really like the non-metallic blue you've chosen - do you have a colour code for it? Looks a bit like RAL5001 green-blue, but regular computer screens don't really display colours correctly.
Merlin Motorsports and Demon Tweeks in the UK both sell seat foam kits. At least one of them uses a large bag of poly beads in addition to the two-part resin, which might be better if you're casting a sports car seat, rather than a single-seater....maybe?
Hi chaps
I totally understand what you're saying, but the rules in black & white do not mandate what you're proposing.

You need to be able to switch on the rear fog only when the headlamp is on, whether it's on main beam or dipped. The switch must be labelled, and there needs to be a warning light to remind you that the rear fog light is on. The warning light needs to be labelled, or bear the fog lamp icon. And...
