Hi, Is there any way the photographs marked with the small red X can be viewed? This applies to all of the older threads and posts. Cheers, Geoff.

    Removing a KVA dashboard question?

You were right. I removed all the bolts around the front of the spider - Lifted it about 2" and 'eased' the dashboard out. It is definitely wider than the base of the screen pillar, and has a lip around the front. I think a bit of fettling is required! Thanks for all your advice...

What are the best tools for cutting aluminium panels?

I'm about to start making up some chassis panels for my KVA. I've done a search, having been sure I've read various ideas, but can't find anything. What tools and methods does everybody suggest? Cheers, Geoff.

    Clutch bleeding question?

Right - All sorted! The original master cylinders were Girling. In fitting the new AP CP2623-93PRT160 master cylinder, I made an obvious mistake (Found last night!). The AP m/cyl has a seperate blue anodised adaptor for the inlet supply. I found that the fluid hole drilled in this...

    Removing a KVA dashboard question?

Graham and Steve, I've a horrible feeling you are right. The spider hasn't been disturbed since 1989, so it could be fun! I'll let you know. Cheers, Geoff.

    Removing a KVA dashboard question?

Hi Richard, Good to hear from you - The windscreen is already out (Not in one piece!). The dash seems to be nipped by the bottom of the screen pillars. It appears to be free-ish around the base of the screen aperture, and can be lifted slightly at the centre around the demister plenum, but...

    Removing a KVA dashboard question?

Hi all - Looking for more help again out there! I'm in the midst of trying to remove the leather covered dashboard out of my KVA C-type. It is not bolted in either side as on a GTD, but appears to just be very tight fit between the screen pillars on either side. However, even trying to...

    Clutch bleeding question?

Seems almost too stupid to ask - I've been doing this for years, but this has got me completely stumped. I have changed to an AP Racing 0.812" master cylinder for the clutch together with the original remote reservoir. I first fitted the Girling pushrod from the original master cylinder...

    Steering Wheel Size

Thanks to all for your suggestions. David - This sounds interesting - I've never come across Lemo plugs and sockets before. Can one half be secured inside the column with the steering wheel end acting as a bayonet fit straight into the column, or would the connector have to have a twist and...

    Steering Wheel Size

Hi All, I'm in the midst of deciding what diameter of Moto Lita steerering wheel to fit, with a Q/R. I've mocked up a 15" wheel...................but it looks ginormous. I know I could go for a 14", but I understand that the 15" is what was used originally. Is anybody using a 15"...

    Gt40 wanted !

Hi Davel, Absolutely fine. I thought I had placed a post to the effect that I now have a car. I have a KVA, just being pulled to bits over the winter, and am very pleased with it. Just looking at it (and sometimes even stroking it!), makes me smile. A dream come true. Good luck...

    KVA Windscreen wanted

Hi, Just started the winter stripdown, and as we removed the windscreen, it cracked. I've done a Search and found the thread from earlier this year. Anything changed since then? Looking forward to your views. Cheers, Geoff.

    Richard's MDA Build

Hi Rich, Good luck with the build! The 'old one' is due for a major (Mainly cosmetic) overhaul over the winter, starting on Thursday evening. I'll be watching your log with interest for ideas. Cheers, Geoff.

Help! Rear main seal replacement on tight quarters KVA

My apologies for not replying earlier to all your suggestions. It WAS easier to remove the whole engine/transaxle assy as a unit. The seal has been replaced successfully. It was the first job to be done on my car after I bought it, and it all seemed a bit daunting at the time. I'm...

    Inner wheel-arch protection.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. I wandered into Homebase (A DIY store in the UK), in the offchance of finding something suitable. They are having a sale, and I've bought 4 camping mats (For sleeping on) for £2.99 ea. They're med density closed cell foam, 6mm thick. Not affected by Evostik...

    Inner wheel-arch protection.

I want to apply some protection to the inner wheel-arches of the front and rear clips. I've just been using Thompsons Water seal to my garage roof, and it looks to be ideal. The only problem I can see is that it is bitumen based. Will this bleed through into the fibreglass? A number of...
