Did original MK1's have a subtle arc to the roof where the spider meets the rear clam...or was this area flat?

Looking for ideas on you to mount headlights for my AP build. I already have the headlights that Chris provided with the kit. I've been scouring threads trying to find pictures on you everyone has them mounted.

Can regular car wax be used as mold release? I usually use duct tape. Or aluminum tape when I want my fiberglass to pop off of some. Just wondering if applying a little wax will make things easier and reusable (if needed).

Anyone know how wide a MK1 is supposed to be …side-to-side from edge of on rocker to the other? Getting ready to start drilling holes in the top of mine to get them fastened down. Currently, the want to be at 66 1/8”.

Are there any alternatives out there for Hartwell (reproduction) latches? I;m having a hard time convincing myself that a set of four is worth $1000. My Active Performance project came with s set of McMaster Carr latches, but they look a little cheap.

Is it necessary to isolate the radiator form the chassis with soft mounts to protect it from vibration. If so, what did you use?

What are you using for the locator pins to secure the bottom front corners of your clam to the top of the rockers? I guess the same goes for the front clam as well.

Where is everyone sourcing the transaxles for their builds? This transaxle thing is all new to me. I've already talked with Kennedy Engineering about their adapter plates, clutches, etc for the 302 I will be using.
