Jack, The car is MUCH faster with the 4.6 lt. engine. There is only 10 kgs. difference but the technology of the engine delivers the power much, much better. We have not done any speed tests etc. but when mapping the engine we had to travel at over 160 kph in THIRD to get the top fuel sites...

    RF passes emmissions

Howard, The engine would fit in the hole, no problems, and all the work with ancilliries would also work as would the adaptor plates. I believe the 3 valve motor has coil packs rather than individual coils with each plug so we would need to do some work there. The engine and ignition maps would...

This car is indeed Cossi's car. They both live in Perth, western Australia and Cossi has had the car for almost twenty years, maybe a little more. I first came across the car in a magazine here in Australia and I have never actually seen it but I have talked with Cossi on many occasions about...

RF six speed adaptor price reduction

Mark, The flywheel will need to be "mirror balanced" to the existing flywheel. The flywheel is steel and the adaptor plate is also steel, only a slight change to your existing adaptor is required for some of the OIE boxes. An aluminium flywheel is not available. We have our steel flywheels...

RF six speed adaptor price reduction

As discussed in my last thread on this Manufacturers Section, it is my intention to revisit ALL option prices and to alter them as required. I wish to have all (read most) parts supplied in South Africa or made in South Africa. This can not happen as switches and instruments and even lights are...

Re: Request for Shipping Udate on RF #108 & 109 Oliver , Firstly let me say that I have edited OUT your last two replys. I for one have grown very tired of your constant sniping at me. This is the first time ever that I have resorted to this and I have had the ability to do this for years...

    More fuel system questions

Mark, The fuel system has been updated since the manual was written. There is the addition of two shut off valves fitted prior to the two LP / transfer pumps and the addition of a pre HP pump filter. The fuel shut off valves are to shut off the fuel tanks when the ignition is off (maybe an...

    Barrett Jackson GT 40

When I first got serious about getting myself a GT40 I looked at the Safir Mark V cars and they were a stagering 185,000 pounds US $ 330,000. The Holman car was over US $ 600,000 so the kit cars were so much more affordable. Best wishes, Robert
