I've been trying to login every now and suddenly, today, I was able to login again!!! I'm really happy to be able to join the discussions again and maybe to contribute...

Any Ford GT's in the UK yet?

Re: Any Ford GT\'s in the UK yet? It's less than two weeks since I saw the red Ford GT at the Clive Sutton showroom in St Johns Wood and now there's a yellow with black stripes in there! Where does he get them from?

    Fuel Injection Fix

Was the fuel pressure fixed or were you using a vacuum controlled fuel pressure regulator? The ECU normally requires a fixed fuel pressure relative to the manifold vacuum i.e. the difference in the manifold (pressure) vacuum and the atmospheric pressure should always be fixed.

Can I remove the distributor from a GTD

I can remove the distributor from my GTD with the engine still in the car. I've got a 302 block in it's original position. To save some time when installing it again, before removing the distributor turn the engine to TDC and note down in which direction the rotor is pointing so you can put it...

    Another Ford (GT40) game

A friend of mine who works in a small Ford workshop gave me this for x-mas. Thanks Mikael! In Sweden we call the game Yatzy and you normally use ordinary dice. If you can't see what the picture shows the sides of the dice are: Model-T, Model-A, Thunderbird, Mustang, GT40 and Modeo ST220(?). If...

    Front Side Marker Lights

Julian, I've used Hella 135mm universal lights. They come both with and without parking light. Older beemers used to have four of them. I've used the pots from a -79 320i to fit the light and to get some adjustment. There are some photos of the car with these lights on my homepage. Merry...

    gt40 3d model???

Hi Chris, I e-mailed a lot with Brian from Canada some time ago and he sent me this picture of a GT40 which he had done in 3D. I can't find his e-mail adress now but if you check this page: www.lamborghinireplica.com and click on Brians work you may be able to find his e-mail adress. Good luck

    Very interesting hilborn injection

Yes, Hilborn have some really cool set-ups which I wouldn't hesitate to use. But they are a bit expensive don't you think? I would not use the Carabine ECU though. I would go for a more sofisticated unit such as Electromotive or similar. My personal opinion is that you would need at least the...

    Stripes

Hi Chris, Well, it's not complex! Look at my posted photos and you'll see how I did it. I didn't bother going down with the blue colour in the nostril and I don't regret it. I think it looks great as it is. I'm totally happy with the result.

    GMP GT40 Mk 2 1/12th Scale Model

Tim, I've seen the GMP here in London and it looks just awesome. I think it's a bit pricey though. There's also a 1/10 model from Exoto which I think is excellent as well. Try www.exoto.com. I prefer to spend my money on my own 1/1 replica instead.

    DIY EFI

I've posted some pictures of the conversion to MegaSquirt of my Porsche. It's only the mechanical part. Thats because I ran out of space on may webpage! I will have to ask them for some more MegaBytes!

    Cockpit Airflow

Dave, I think it looks great. I like it! I had a similar idea but I must say your solution is better. To get the air out of the cockpit, wouldn't it be possible to run similar fibreglass channels under the rear deck to exit in a 'low pressure area' at the rear? Just a thought!

    DIY EFI

Eric I'm sorry that the conversion story on my homepage is not available in english yet. I'll translate it as soon as I can. We are three friend that have made this reality. We've made the circuit board I'm currently running ourselves, but we are looking to have them made professionally. You...

    DIY EFI

Hi All During the winter I've successfully converted my old Porsche 928 '82 from the mechanical Kjetronic to the electronic MegaSquirt. It's been running for two months now with only small tweeks to the system. I have an Electromotive TECII in my '70 Corvette and I think the MegaSquirt is just...

I drive a Porsche 928 '82 converted from k-jetronic to electronic fuel injection type MegaSquirt. I drive it all year around! TWM sales in the UK?

Hi everybody I'm seriously thinking about installing fuel injection in my GTD40. I've been looking at different alternatives and it looks like TWM is very competative when it comes to pricing. Is there anybody out there who knows if it's possible to buy TWM products from a source in the UK?

    Stack IP

Brett, For normal road use, I don't think it makes a significant difference. On a track however, you will be able to balance the weight between your right and left pair of wheels slightly. You would want to have as little fuel as possible in the tank nearest the driver. I'm not a professional...
