    poor man's gt40

I support you all the way. I'm doing a low budget unfinished old KVA up. Sure it wont be a 100grand "replica" with 5 litre V8 (mines a 3.0 V6 by the way) but at the end of the day we are all faking it, its just to what level you believe you think you should be to the "real thing". In my eyes...

Getting your 40 in and out of a standard garage door?

Hi Mick, I could. I guess it would just mean getting in & out a few times & closing them after. Probably less effort thought than pushing it in. Thanks

Getting your 40 in and out of a standard garage door?

I have a nice long garage but width is not so good. I have thought about when the car is finished and getting it in & out on my own. I have considered using: - Go-jacks and reversing the car to the door, jacking the front up & pushing it in (not great as Ill have to push on the body)...

    Indoor Car Cover for Mk1

I would appreciate any recommendations for UK suppliers / makers of good quality indoor car covers. There is the obvious google search but would rather approach a company that someone has used. I need one for my Mk1 KVA. I don't want a general bag to go over it but something more "fitted"...

    Battery to loom sequence

Thanks to you all. To be "safe" and sure I have got a car electrician coming over to wire it in. He is booked for the 28th of Feb. I think paying for his time for a day will be worth while & reassuring. After he has been I'll be getting the body down...and on. Its my goal to have it SVA'd...

    Battery to loom sequence

Hi Guys, I know that this will seem quite basic to most of you but a sparky I am not so forgive me. With the KVA I picked up there was a "new looking" loom. Most of it is labelled so I can work that all out apart from the 2 areas that I wondered if anyone knew about. Area 1 At the front end...

    Aircon Hose Route??

I am sure that there is a obvious answer to this question but I wondered if anyone had any experiance on the best route for the Air con hoses from the front to the rear of the car?? I have the body off, tanks in & wondered if you try and run them over the top of the tanks in some form. Surely...

    345/35x15 too wide?

Thanks Mike, great information but now I am really confused...the tyres that are on the car will have to come off anyway as they will not pass the SVA test we have in the UK. (we have to have a "E" mark and these tyres don't have them. As time goes on I can see the wheels coming off and me...

    345/35x15 too wide?

The only picture I have is when I draped the body over temporarily before it was strapped to the roof of the garage whilst I work on the car. It does not give much away as to the suitability but time will tell I guess...

    345/35x15 too wide?

On the KVA I aquired in December there are a set of 345/35x15 tyres on the rear fixed to revolution wheels. Having researched what many other users have on their cars I feel a bit unusual and am now wondering about the rear section that I have and the usability of such wide tyres. I have...
