    Audi V8 - 012 gearbox

Hi Nick I found this info on the internet a while ago. It's for a 16v Audi engine. I'm planning on using it for my Audi ABZ engine as a starting point (looking to do Megasquirt too). Might be some use... Good luck Cheers James

James' GT-Forté scratch build GT40 MkI

Hey Frank - I am listening! I'll listen to anyone who's taken the time to comment on my build, especially you guys with a lot of experience. I get that mounting the suspension as far outboard as possible results in the least amount of bending on the wishbones. I know there have been some...

Darren was aware of the potential issue with the wishbones and used stress analysis in designing the beefier version - see here

James' GT-Forté scratch build GT40 MkI

Hi Mike Thanks for the comments. I'm following the wishbone design which others building a GT-Forte chassis are using. I've read about the Tornado wishbones bending and understand the GT-Forte design to be stronger... The tubes are 1" 12swg CDS The plate is 5mm thick and extends...

Granada rear hub carrier mounting bolt size

Thanks for that Mike - it does help. I didn't appreciate the shank would be a little wider - you can just about make that out in the ebay photos. Cheers Frank - I'll try and source some locally, but may be in touch! Thanks for your help chaps James

Granada rear hub carrier mounting bolt size

Hi Does anyone know what size the 4 mounting bolts are for the granada rear hub carriers please? I believe they are M10, but not sure if it's a standard or fine thread? Also, given nylocs aren't used, I'm guessing it would be a good idea to use some threadlock? Cheers James

THE CHASSIS IS FINISHED!!!!! Taken a bit of time, but finally got to this milestone. (The 4 coats of paint were especially tedious!) But at last I can move on to the next stage :)

    Audi V8 and 01E

Mine is an ABZ too (10 bolt). There's a photo on post 111 here. If you email TTV with what you need, they should be able to sort you out and make sure everything fits Good luck!

    Audi V8 and 01E

It was 8 years since Phil was looking at this, so hopefully he's got it sorted by now! I've got an Audi V8 and O1E, and have a flywheel from these guys... TTV Racing. The flywheel is designed to take the Audi S4 B5 clutch without the gearbox spacer

James' GT-Forté scratch build GT40 MkI

Hi Bob Looks like you're starting off on a similar path - won't be long until you're cutting and welding!. Judging by the photos of your Bugatti's, there's going to be another fine GT40 along soon. If you're near Leeds at any point, you're more than welcome to look over my build. Good...

Good spot Brett! It's my first proper road bike, which I'm really pleased with. Although it's getting a bit more action on the rollers than the road at the minute!
