    Hello from New Zealand

Thanks for all of the information, looks like I’m in for a bit of a bumpy journey. The local certifier has already said he is not interested in certifying the car because it has fibreglass panels. I will keep you posted.

    Hello from New Zealand

Hi Peter Finally my Tornado kit has arrived and I can start assembly. I am in the process of starting to fill out forms for design approval with the LVVTA. I may be being a bit cheeky here, are you able to give me the details of the Tornado you put through the LVVTA, hopefully this will save me...

    Hello from New Zealand

Thanks Mike. Luckily I live in Havelock North, slightly elevated so no damage. My job takes me to the more rural areas in Hawkes Bay, seeing the destruction first hand puts you in awe of the power of water, certain parts look apocalyptic. How is your build coming along? hopefully by mid year I...

Hi Adrian, just a quick update, I have been chasing up Andy, who now informs me my kit should be ready in early 2023. Still not an exact date but I feel it’s getting closer. Would you still like to be kept up to speed on the delivery process once things start to move?

I’m not sure how it is arriving to be honest, something to sort out once things start moving. I’m going for the “poor man’s option” space frame chassis, Windsor 302 and Audi transaxle. These have kept me busy for the last year although I am starting to get itchy feet. What is Andy’s lead time at...

Hi Adrian I can keep you posted,no problem. I ordered my kit at the beginning of December 2021. I’m sitting on the fence, should I chase him up or should I wait, I don’t want to be disappointed if he says that it will be another six months. I will probably wait for the year anniversary and chase...

Ford 302, tapped hole in block

Thanks for the replies. Definitely 7/16 Brian, I have had the engine running without it plugged. I do have a small oil leak around that area , however I think it is coming from slightly above. It was the oil leak that led me to the area. cheers

Ford 302, tapped hole in block

Hello I’m hoping somebody is going to be able to help me out. I have a 1987 SBF, at the back of the engine block on the left hand side (looking from the timing chain end) is a tapped hole 7/16 UNC. Has anybody any idea what this is for? Thanks

    302 water pump bolts

Just to confuse matters, I have a 1987 302, recently I pressure tested the block. Definitely a homemade system, however, I did not have any water coming out of where the timing cover, water pump bolts should have been. You may have to turn your computer screens upside down to view.
