    First sighting of my GT40!

Was perusing the Downforce Motorsports page and there she was on the showroom with SOLD on the window! P2461 in all of it's Guardsman Blue glory!!! Looks like they have 17" wheels and tires on it, but I'm planning on 15" BRMs and they just might be on it to move it around since it doesn't have...

    Jimglo trailers

I had not considered that, thanks. I was leaning towards a 20’ trailer. I have loaded a Fox body mustang in my current 17’ servant express hardtop though. how much spare room does the 22’ afford you for a corvette? Do you have cabinets/ benches up front? which floor did you get?

    Jimglo trailers

My SPF MK1 should hit customs any day now in South Carolina, and while there are months ahead of her being ready to enjoy, it's time to start looking for a trailer in earnest. Looking at the Jimglos and wondering if anyone has any experience with them. What do you like, what do you not like...

    SPF Guages

I think the peak power for a Gen 3 Coyote (as installed in a Mustang) comes at 7000rpm according to Ford Motorsport, and if anything better breathing in the intake and exhaust won't move that down further. I reached out to Superformance and was referred to Nisonger Instruments in NY (importer...

    SPF Guages

The stock gauges that come on the SPF show a redline of 6500 which is good for the Windsor, but about 1000 shy for the Coyote I'm using. I've been told that there is a "Superformance Electronic Guage Package" available as an upgrade that will let me adjust the indicated redline up, but since...

    Wheels and tires on SPF

I originally opted for Forgeline 18' front and 19" rear with Continental tires on them, but it occurs to me that I haven't actually seen the wheels and tires on a GT40 before so I don't know if that is the best expenditure. For the Roadster I had to go with 18" wheels to fit the larger Wilwood...

Roush 427 vs Aluminator XS 5.2

I'm a big fan of the Coyote motor that the 5.2L Aluminator is based off of, but I didn't want to kick out the $25k when most of the extra power it could generate I probably wouldn't use. I was also a bit concerned with the oil issues that the 5.2 Voodoo motors have had. I opted for a 5.0L...

    New Coyote Intake Reverse

Downforce Motorsports has done a few 5.2 Aluminator builds on Superformance GT 40s, and they had reversed intakes that looked a lot like the old BOSS 302 intakes. I think Olthoff Racing does the work for him, maybe check with them. If I'm not mistaken the top side of the 5.2 Aluminator is the...

    Interesting block strength video

The reference to concrete in the water jackets surprised the hell out of me. I would worry about cooling and pieces fracturing off and traveling through the rest of the system. Concrete grit couldn't be good for water pump impellers, thermostats, or radiators.

    Howdy!

I own a Factory Five Roadster that is a blast to drive but only a perfect weather car. Also, longer rides with not top and too much sun in Texas has been a bit much for the wife so I approached her about getting something with a roof (hoping to talk her into a Daytona Coupe). Well, she wasn't...
