4 July - Heritage Motor Centre

Our annual conference was held at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon this week. I noticed an event mentioning Fords/GT40s on 4 July and wondered if the club was doing anything or if anyone from the club was going?:

This year at the Centre it was good to see P1089, one of John Willment's post-production GT40s, on display (the one on this link) along with a number of Fords on loan from Ford (Lotus Cortina etc). You could get right up close to the GT40, which is on loan from Avia Willment. We've been there the last three years and if it was there last year I missed it.

I think this is the 'FORD ' day at Gaydon, which the club usually attends and has space allocated.

If my memory serves me right we had about 12 cars there last year and many will no doubt be going again this year.
