Its an odd one - looks like a centre gear shift with a weird gear lever (& some odd gadget on the tunnel behind the lever) & the centre tunnel seems to be entirely missing forward of the seats !

The side vents are interesting too. It looks like a race car that someone hacked up in the 70's, then sat hidden away for the last 20 years !

It would be fascinating to know its history.

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

Tony, is a "right dog's breakfast" bad or good? And, if the "right dog's breakfast" is bad, then, would the "left dog's breakfast" be good?

I would say a "right dog's breakfast" is bad looking at the headers, but us poor yanks, well, you know we sometimes need help with these proper English terms!

Ron,
You never see a dog's breakfast when it's going down, but always when it's come up again. So, a dog's breakfast is a messy business.
'Right' as in 'proper'. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It didn't sell.
The high 'bid' was £260,000, although I suspect that there wasn't much interest at all and this was just the auctioneer trying to get the bidding moving.

As Paul says, there were many things on the car that looked odd.

Webers were not marked with a manufacturer??? Neither Italy or Spain... Bell housing had been cracked open as a previous weld to alloy showed a 5" L-shaped split.....Vin/Chassis plate marked as below..'GT40P73'

Also.... conversion from Left hand drive to Right hand drive looked unconvincing. As a friend said to me today, might have been worth £120K as a project + a LARGE £Spend to 'get it right', but nowhere near the £350K+ reserve! 'sold as seen'.....
