AK Sportscars Open Day

For anyone who is not aware AK Sportscars are hosting an Open Day on Saturday 9th May at their facility in Peterborough, UK. There is always lots to see with open access to the site and lots of cars to study. Attendance by customers both past and present is high and its a great opportunity to look and learn. The brand new AK40 demonstrator will be on display (the interior is being fitted as I type). Jon Freeman usually makes a walk around presentation through the various workshops and describes the chassis production process and the joys(!) of fibreglass work. Opportunities are available for a run out in a AK40 or one of their Cobra's. I will be attending and would be very pleased to meet any of the current builders on this Forum or anyone thinking of placing an order. I'm the one in a Shelby t-shirt and GT40 cap.
