Looking for any info on the connecting links as shown in the attached; rod end size, nut thread size, length, material, etc... Thanks

MKII bars are heavier than GT-40' s and have a tapper at the ends and are not adjustable as the one shown, I am afraid I don't remember their exact size, but I believe 3/4 " diameter tapering to 1/2", metric did not exist at this time. I am sure someone has plans out there showing the sizes to be sure.

Thanks David. Looks like in the MKII picture I posted the threaded bung has a machined wrench slot for adjustment of the rod. I just can't make out what looks like a jam nut above this adjustment slot, end of the rod. There is a gap between the rod and the nut that appears to have a taper toward the rod? Just can't find a clear picture of this. The picture you posted looks like a MKI car with the rubber drive donut.

As, I remember and that was a long time ago, they were 5/8 inch tubes 3/4 inch end caps welded to the tubes with a solid 3/8-inch male extension about 2 inches long on the end cap to go into the tube. They seemed like telephone poles compared to the non-MKII model GT-40's. Yes, the end caps were machined so a wrench could be used on them. Hopes this helps.
