Anyone running the Nitto NT01?

I can get these in 305/35/18 (26.4" tall) and either 245/40/18 (25.7") or 235/40/18 (25.4") and they look to be about as sticky of a tire (DOT compliant race tire) as you can find for a very good price (all four for about $1100 delivered to me).

So, is anyone running these?

Also, I know some say they can't fit 245 up front and others have no problem. Anyone will tall wheels having issues with 245s? My wheel seller took the sizes of the front and thinks a 245 should work but...

Looks like I'll be the first then. I ordered in a 305/35/18 tire to test. My wheel should be in by Friday. I'll get it mounted and test fit both sides and if it's good to go then I'll place an order for a 245/40/18 and try that. If that doesn't fit I'll step down to the 235/40/18.

Will post pics eventually.

Darrin,
I've been using NT-01's for trackdays the last 4 years. They're not quite at Hoosier R6 level, but close and cost a lot less. I got about 8 trackdays out of them before they started to lose grip. I'm running 235/40/17 and 315/35/17 on an SPF. 245's wouldn't clear full lock on an SPF, but can't say for other makes. Also 235/40/17 is 24.4"d. vs 245/40/17 is 25.5" d.

Thanks! I might just go with the 235 and be done with it. If those don't clear then I see some modification being done. :)

The rear made it in. Wheels to be here Friday so I will get it mounted, check it, then order in the front assuming the rear fits fine (almost certain of it given others run larger tires width and height). Here is a photo.

I am running these tyres on my RF GT40 here in Oz.

225/45-17 and 275/40-17. Great tyres and they stick really well. They are initially slippery and need one scrub / heat cycle (then let them stand for a bit of a rest) before they start to really work.

I would certainly use these again without question.
