Autometer announced at Sema that the competition LCD dash will be available in January. It is pricey but a really cool unit...LCD Competition Dash.
Indeed it is now available. I mention this because they are supposed to start taking orders in Feb. for a sportsman model LCD. It does all I will need and will also display the backup camera. I think it is supposed to be in the $2500 range. The dash will require slight mod, but doable. Just an FYI for those in progress.
Allan has come up with a great way to have electric doors. I followed his video and I have accomplished that. My concern was getting out o the car in the event of an emergency or fire. I have a detent pin that connects the motor arm to the hinge on the door. It has a cable that has access from the cabin of the car. In the event of an emergency, pull the cable which releases the detent pin and the door can swing open.
