Average 40 chassis weight

the 64 thousand dollar question, whats the average weight for a bare 40 tube frame chassis, I added all the steel up in the one I've almost finished and was quite surprised.
be interesting to compare.

Not really sure Terry hence the question, it came in at 148kg as in the pic, but as they will all be road cars i probably erred on the side of caution and used 40x40x1.6 for the pontoon top rails just to give a bit of impact protection.but from what I've managed to research anything under 160kg is not to bad, so I'm ball park.

that compares with what the CAD said, obviously its not exactly the same because I have slightly different tube sizes for the out riggers but its close. How much is left on the MIG spool as well? There could be another 2kg there to be added, then there is the sheeting and other brackets. under 200KG (440 pounds) may fly out the window with the pigs I fear.

hence the other chassis I was playing around with......
