Battery cut-off

I run the alternator power directly to the battery side of the cutoff switch, it does not drain the battery but this solves the master cut off probem except that one extra wire stays hot besided the battery cable. I'm sure I'm missing something here but seems a simple solution to having the alternator disconnet with the master. Also keeps the alternator from going open circuit.

I have a flaming river push pull on the mustang that portrudes out the gas cap on the rear of the car, a tech inspector didn't like the location. I convinced him that the only way that it could be blocked is if I stand the car on end. He had to think about it... Finally let me drive.
